In today’s fast-paced world, many elderly people risk feeling isolated and unsupported in their daily lives. Nossa Rua was created to bridge this gap by connecting seniors with caring volunteers from their own neighborhoods. More than just an app, it’s a platform that fosters trust, companionship, and practical support — from simple errands to urgent help. By connecting generations, Nossa Rua turns communities into safer, warmer, and more supportive places to live.
This project was a class project about ergonomics so we made an app for eldery people with the most simple design for a better community.

Why “Nossa Rua” (our Street?
Nossa Rua was created to bridge the gap between seniors and their local communities. Many elderly people struggle with daily tasks and isolation, while neighbors are often willing to help but lack a simple way to connect. The app transforms ordinary streets into supportive networks, offering seniors independence, safety, and a stronger sense of belonging.
